A week ago, Jacek Borek, as a deputy of the director, on behalf of the Magura National Park, signed the second contract in the new finance perspective 2014-2020 for funding a project by the European Union. The value of the whole projet is almost 1,9 mln zlotys, 1,5 mln within it is the donation of the Eurounion.
The project will be realized within the area of seven communes where the Park is located, as well as the protected area nearby. These will be: communes of Sękowa, Krempna, Dukla, Nowy Żmigród, Lipinki, Dębowiec and Osiek Jasielski. The main aim of the project is to increase the awareness of the local society and their involvement into actions that lead to protection of nature within the areas of the communes that are neighbouring with the Park. Within the project, educational events will be organized for children and youth at every level of education, open-air workshops for the employees of self-governments, as well as workshops on nature for the inhabitants of the mentioned communes. Apart from that, many educational publications will be published, as for example a compendium for teachers, brochures for inhabitants of the communes, a guide and a magazine.
