A publication dedicated to the Lower Beskid and Pogórze has appeared on the publishing market. It is the 15th number of the sightseeing yearbook “Magura,” published by the Student Circle of Beskid Guides, Warsaw affiliate.
The magazine concerns different topics, related to the history of the lands, their geography, sometimes also some ethnographic or sociographical and, of course, landscape topics. Much space is always taken by articles on the culture and history of Lemkos and Lemkovyna.
In the recent 15th edition of the “Magura” magazine there are two articles by Wiesław Żyznowski entitled Unity of house and the landlady: Anna Buriak and her Lemko chyza and Smerechne in Lemkovyna. Recollections and report by Alexander Chudik – commentary. Apart from this, the magazine includes also a comprehensive monographic article by Damian Nowak on the history of Lemko village of Radocyna, completed with photographies.
Traditionally, in “Maguras” reports by Szymon Modrzejewski from the Magurycz Association have their place, on saving sacred art and small roadside architecture in 2015, as well as a preview of eminent news from 2015 concerning topics related to the Lower Beskid by Tadeusz Kiełbasiński.
The recent edition is completed by materials from Description action and poems by Bartłomiej Kielski-Bardanaszwili.
