Lastivochka/Ластівочкa jubilee – 10th Anniversary Meeting of Three Generations with Lemko Culture – LIVE transmission, 4.30 PM

We are pleased to inform you that we can add something from ourselves to today’s event organized by the Lemko Association from Przemków (Pshemkiv). Apart from the fact that Lem.fm is the media sponsor of the double jubilee, today from 4.30 PM we will broadcast LIVE from the Municipal Culture and Leisure Centre in Chojnów. Today’s celebration will take place there. It starts at 5 PM and it relates to the 15th anniversary of the founding of “Lastivochka” Lemko Song and Dance Ensemble, as well as the 10th edition of Meetings of Three Generations with Lemko Culture.

It is a tradition, as last year the event was also broadcast LIVE in our radio. It took place on 7 November 2015 in Pshemkiv. Back then, the director of the music ensemble, Yevhen Habura, said a few words about the Meetings’ history within our interview:

Last year, Yevhen Habura talked also about some plans of the ensemble about which “Lastivochka” can be proud nowadays. It was, among others, getting CIOFF certificate, International Council of Organisations of Folklore Festivals (more information here).

Although managing the “Lastivochka” ensemble and children’s ensemble “Lastivchata”, as well as organizing of the Meetings of Three Generations with Lemko Culture are the most widely known examples of Lemko Association’s activities, that is not all. It was mentioned last year by the Head of the Lemko Association, Andrij Kopcha:
