The 4th Rusyn Genealogy and Heritage Conference – is the name of an event organized next Saturday, 22 October, in Pennsylvania, USA (King’s College, 133 N River St, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702). Within the conference, lectures on Rusyn Genealogy, its character, as well as 21st century research among Rusyns of the North America, will be presented.
During the conference, the following lectures will be given: I am a Rusyn, Let My Journey Begin by Tom Peters, DNA & Rusyn Genealogy by Jim Huratiak. The last two lectures will concern Rusyns in Serbia and Poland. Gabriel Koljesar will talk about Vojvodina as Serbian Rusyns, who have their own variant of Rusyn language, place of living, he will also present the long history of social and political activity. Dr. Paul Best will give a, briefly named but broad in content, lecture The Lemkos.
There will be Rusyn items for sale, you will also have the occasion to understand documentation concerning Rusyn issues (documentation interpretation included). More details – here.
